A day in Norway
Our one port in picturesque Norway was Alesund, a little town of about 45, 000 people. There were 3 ships docked and together the passengers added about 10% to the population. It was a stress to the local infrastructure.
On board, heading north to Norway
We’ve started to explore the ship while we travel north to Alesund Norway, tomorrow’s port. Seas are calmer than anticipated.
Starting the Viking Passage
Our trip from Amsterdam to Boston has begun. The first step of getting here was in some ways made simpler and more pleasant by British Airways canceling our flight less than 6 hours before checkin.
Pickleball
A cruise ship is a good place to start to learn pickleball. If you miss an easy shot you can just blame the wind or the roll.
Starting across the pond
We have embarked on a 14 day Atlantic crossing. The first half of the trip will be comprised of sea days mostly; the second half of ports along the English Channel.
